Executive/Managerial

Executive and managerial positions have the primary responsibility of leading and managing the NSF workforce. These executive and managerial positions may include Assistant Director, Office Head, Division Director, and their Deputies and similar positions.

Features

  • Senior Executive Service (SES) appointments may be on a career or limited term (3 years maximum) basis.
  • NSF Deputy Director approves appointments.
  • Open competition and OPM certification of executive qualifications are required for Career appointments.
