Appointment of Dr. C. Suzanne (Suzi) Iacono

CISE is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. C. Suzanne (Suzi) Iacono as Deputy Assistant Director, effective October 7, 2012.

Since 2006, Dr. Iacono has served as the Senior Science Advisor for CISE. She joined NSF from Boston University in 1998 as a Program Director in the Division of Information and Intelligent Systems (IIS). She has served in various positions within NSF: twice serving as acting DAD in CISE, as Acting Division Director for both the IIS and Computer and Network Systems Divisions, and as the Deputy Division Director for IIS. She did her undergraduate and masterís work at the University of California, Irvine in Social Ecology and earned her Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Arizona.
