Proposals are generally accepted every 6 months (June and December).

NSF SBIR proposals are submitted via NSF's FastLane System. Three(3) other registrations (external to the NSF) are also required and shown below. These registrations can take up to three(3) weeks or more to obtain!
Register the Principal Investigator AND company in NSF's electronic submission system.
Obtain an SBC Control ID through the Company Registry.
Register with the System for Award Management.
Obtain a D-U-N-S®
number via Dun & Bradstreet, Inc.
