DESCRIPTION:This NSF Day is a one-day workshop providing an introduction to and overview of the National Science Foundation. There will also be presentations on the programs of each of the NSF directorates: Mathematical and Physical Sciences; Biological Sciences; Computer and Information Science and Engineering; Education and Human Resources; Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences; Engineering; and Geosciences, as well as time for participants to chat informally with NSF program managers.\n\nThe National Science Foundation is charged with keeping our nation's science and engineering enterprise healthy, dynamic and relevant, and with advancing science, mathematics, engineering and technology education at all levels from pre-K through postdoctoral. It is our hope that events such as this will stimulate new interest in NSF programs at institutions that have not been among our traditional customers, as well as at premier research institutions.\n\nThere is no registration fee for this workshop; however, preregistration is required. Please register by January 19, 2007.\n\nThe workshop will be held in the The Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life, building #29 on the Tulane campus map.\n\nOn-campus parking is available at the Diboll Parking Garage (permits must be purchased at the University Police office on the ground floor), Building #103 on the map.  Enter via Ben Weiner Drive from Willow Street.  Free parking and shuttle service is available at University Square on Broadway St. (Enter at Coliseum St. from Broadway St ). \n\n\n\n\n\nContacts\nGeorge M.
