Dunlap Ave.\nPhoenix, AZ 85021\n\nAtlanta, Georgia\nWednesday, February 3, 2010\n9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.\nLocation: Sheraton Gateway Hotel Atlanta Airport\n1900 Sullivan Road\nAtlanta, GA 30337\n \nAbout the Program: \n \nThe Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program seeks to encourage talented science, technology, engineering, and mathematics majors and professionals to become K-12 mathematics and science teachers. The program provides funds to institutions of higher education to support scholarships, stipends, and academic programs for undergraduate STEM majors and post-baccalaureate students holding STEM degrees who commit to teaching in high-need K-12 school districts. A new component of the program supports STEM professionals who enroll as NSF Teaching Fellows in master's degree programs leading to teacher certification by providing academic courses, professional development, and salary supplements while they are fulfilling a four-year teaching commitment in a high need school district. This new component also supports the development of NSF Master Teaching Fellows by providing professional development and salary supplements for exemplary math and science teachers to become Master Teachers in high-need school districts.\n\nDue Dates for Letter of Intent &amp; Proposals: \n\nLetter of Intent Deadline Date: February 9, 2010\nFull Proposal Deadline Date: March 10, 2010\n \nMore information about the NSF Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program can be located at http://nsf.gov/funding/pgm_summ.jsp?pims_id=5733&amp;org=DUE&amp;from=home \n \nThe 2010 NSF Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program Solicitation 10-514 can be located at http://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2010/nsf10514/nsf10514.htm\n\nWho Should Participate in the Proposal Preparation Workshop:\n \nUniversities and two- or four-year colleges (including community colleges) accredited in, and having a campus located in the US, or consortia of such institutions, or US nonprofit entities that have established consortia among such institutions of higher education may submit Noyce proposals.\n \n***For Noyce Teacher Scholarship Proposals, the PI, or at least one Co-PI, must be a faculty member in a mathematics, science, or engineering department. Education faculty may also attend the workshop. ***\n\nHow to Register for the Proposal Preparation Workshop:\n \nRegistration for the online workshop is now available at: \nhttp://www.nsfnoyce.org/index.php/proposal-prep-workshop/\n \nDuring the registration process, you will be able to select a particular date from a pull-down menu.
