I am an information scientist specializing in scientific production, scholarly communication, and data curation. Prior to beginning my fellowship at the NSF, I was a Research Assistant Professor on the faculty of the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Illinois). At Illinois, I was a scientist in the Center for Informatics Research in Science and Scholarship (CIRSS), where I worked on the Data Conservancy, and also served as Principal Investigator for the Data Curation Education Program (DCEP) funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services. Before moving into the Information Sciences, I worked for many years in special education and disability services. I completed my Ph.D. at Illinois, have an MLIS from Rutgers University, and a M.Ed. from Rhode Island College.
