While many animals use the magnetic field to navigate, scientists suspect that Loggerhead turtles use it in more detail than most animals. What are the two parts of the magnetic field that the turtles use?

Each point on the earth has a unique combination of intensity and inclination, similar to the longitude and latitude grid that humans have developed.
