Seal Under Ice

Seal Under Ice

A Weddell seal carefully watches our camera, while hovering just under sea ice, stained brown by algae growing underneath. This picture was taken near Davis Station, Antarctica, during the filming of the IMAX documentary "Antarctica" in the summer of 1990. (Date of Image: December 1990)
