This image is a graph of flood elevation on the Cedar River in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with two inset photos of the Cedar River. For their project, Anatomy of the 2008 Flood, Witold Krajewski and Ricardo Mantilla demonstrated one of the key factors in the Cedar River's unprecedented crest with this graph, which simulates river discharge just upstream from Cedar Rapids, with and without the major rainstorm, on June 12th.
