Dr. Seifu Tilahun of Ethiopia's Bahir Dar University stands with community farmers and a USAID representative. Tilahun is working to develop soil conservation practices--influenced by both watershed science and the expertise of local farmers--in Ethiopia's Blue Nile Basin. The U.S. partner is Christopher Barrett of Cornell University.
