NSF Next-Generation Cyberinfrastructure Tools Awards Go to Cornell and U. of Chicago

With funding from NSF's Next-Generation Cyberinfrastructure Tools initiative, researchers at Cornell University will develop tools for analyzing the vast Internet Archive. The 40 billion pages of the archive represent snapshots of the Web that have been captured and stored every two months for nearly ten years. The result is a remarkably rich and detailed record of societal events and dynamics over that time.
