Scientists use genomics to reveal secrets of ocean microbes

Researchers sequenced the genomes of ocean microbes living in the Pacific ocean.

Researchers sequenced the genomes of planktonic microbes living at various depths of the Pacific ocean. Organisms at each depth contained significant amounts of unique DNA sequence, revealing community characteristics at the various depths.
