 News From the Field The Genes in Your Congeniality: Researchers Identify Genetic Influence in Social Networks

Our genes partly influence our place within our social network, according to new research from Harvard University and the University of California, San Diego. The findings are published this week in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. The researchers found that both popularity and the likelihood of friends to know one another were strongly heritable.
