New Imaging Technique Provides Rapid, High-definition Chemistry

Carol Hirshmugl consults with UWM scientist Funded by the National Science Foundation's Major Research Instrumentation Program, researchers have developed a new technique called Infrared Environmental Imaging (IRENI) that  cuts the amount of time needed to image a sample of human tissue from hours to minutes.  IRENI produces high-resolution images that do not have to be tagged or stained as they would for imaging with an optical microscope.
