 Press Release 11-075 DNA Origami Used to Create 3-D Nanostructures

Inspired by nature, researchers have started to use the self-assembling feature of DNA to design nanotubes and other objects that have useful electrical and mechanical properties. As a member of the National Science Foundation’s Materials World Network, Hao Yan and his team at Arizona State University recently developed a new strategy to build nanostructures using DNA as a scaffold for assembly.
