LHC data to be made public via open access initiative

Large Hadron Collider data are exotic, they are complicated and they are big. At peak performance, about one billion proton collisions take place every second inside the CMS detector at the LHC. CMS is now taking its first steps to make up to half of its data accessible to the public. The first release will be made available in the latter half of 2014 and will comprise of a portion of data collected in 2010.Full Story
