Catheter innovation destroys dangerous biofilms

Duke University engineers have developed a new design that could help eliminate the threat of infection from millions of urinary catheters. The dual-channel design uses a mechanical method to uproot biofilms from their moorings so that they can easily be flushed away.Full Story

The U.S. National Science Foundation propels the nation forward by advancing fundamental research in all fields of science and engineering.
