Researchers test whether Red Queen hypothesis makes species resilient

Deanna Soper, a postdoctoral researcher in the University of Iowa Department of Biology and currently visiting assistant professor at Beloit College, Beloit, Wis., and her colleagues addressed whether a particular prediction of the Red Queen hypothesis was met: That exposure to parasites increases multiple mating in New Zealand freshwater snails.
