MIT study investigates power generation from the meeting of river water and seawater

pressure retarded osmosis Where the river meets the sea, there is the potential to harness a significant amount of renewable energy, according to a team of mechanical engineers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The National Science Foundation (NSF) is an independent federal agency that supports fundamental research and education across all fields of science and engineering.
