"The administration's embrace of science, technology and STEM education has been one of its hallmarks," said National Science Foundation Director France Córdova. "In his State of the Union address, President Barack Obama highlighted the importance of scientific progress and innovation. We look forward to continuing to fulfill the agency's mission to promote the progress of science and engineering, which is crucial to our economy, global competitiveness and quality of life."
