Researchers integrate diamond/boron nitride crystalline layers for use in high-powered devices

NSF-funded materials researchers have developed a new technique to deposit diamond on the surface of cubic boron nitride, integrating the two materials into a single crystalline structure. The material could be used to create high-power devices, such as solid state transformers needed to create a smart power grid.Full Story
