Where are the bus drop off locations?

The bus drop off locations can be seen on a map in the Public Attachment entitled "Bus drop off points and parking." Buses with middle school students will drop off between Dick's and Macy's. High school student buses will drop off between Macy's and Lord &Taylor.

What happens when my bus arrives at the mall?

When your bus arrives at the bus drop area, students should remain in their seats on the bus while a teacher checks in at the "Welcome Table" inside the mall. You will be given guidelines on mall conduct and security to read to your students before they leave the bus.

Where do the buses park?

Bus parking locations can be seen on a map in the Public Attachment entitled "Bus drop off points and parking." Bus parking in in the lot between JCPenney and Lord & Taylor.

What is the recommended ratio of students to teachers/chaperones?

Our recommendation is for no greater than 4 students to 1 chaperone. Because this event is in a public shopping mall during business hours, it is important for students to stay focused on the interactive exhibits and NOT enter stores nor impede shoppers. The more chaperones the better!

Is there food available at the mall?

Yes, food is available for sale in the Food Court, on the upper level of the mall. In addition, students are welcome to bring a bagged meal or snack if desired.

If a student gets separated from their group, where should they go?

Individuals who are separated from their group should go to the Guest Services counter on the lower level of the mall, outside JCPenney.

What is the appropriate attire for this event?

Comfortable clothes and shoes are a must. Each school determines the appropriate dress for their students.

Does mall security know about this event?

Yes, increased security will be on the premises each day--both uniformed officers as well as plain clothed officers. Their role is to keep the event safe and orderly.

Is there a charge to attend this event?

No, the event is free and open to everyone.
