This Web site results from a series of NSF Workshops on Public Affairs Collaboration and years of more informal meetings and discussions with PIOs of NSF grantee organizations. The most recent workshop report recommended a web-based collaboration tool. When NSF released (in 2005) a redesigned Web site which is heavy on high-quality public content, the need for such a tool became more urgent. We hope this collaboration Web site will increase submissions of quality material which is vetted by public affairs professionals and which may be used (in some capacity) on our public site. NSF appreciates the extensive efforts of Dennis Meredith (formerly of Duke University), Terry Devitt of the University of Wisconsin, Dave Finley of NRAO and many other PIOs in supporting our collaboration goals.

This site has both a "public" and a password-protected area.

Please read "How to Use This Site," "Goals," and "Editorial and Submission Guidelines" before submitting items to NSF. Currently, only PIOs of NSF-funded institutions may submit items (but other PIOs are welcome to browse the site).
