Photo of a mock living room on shake table

The NEES@Buffalo Grand Opening Ceremony and Open House demonstration on Sept. 24, 2004, included the "living room" shown in this photo deployed on shake table B. The room depicted two individuals seated on couches, book shelves and a table with a fish bowl. Using the shake tables, NEES@Buffalo researchers excited the room to graphically and visually illustrate the dramatic effect of an earthquake in a typical urban environment.
