Ribosomal protein

Caption: Complex protein folded into it’s functional conformation
50S Ribosomal protein, a conglomeration of 29 smaller proteins that work together to catalyze peptide bond formation and bind initiation, termination, and elongation factors. It is the first structure of its kind to be included in the PDB holdings.
It can take just 20 milliseconds for a nascent protein to fold into its functional conformation. Terascale computing has reduced the time of simulation from 40 months to 1 day -- 1000 times faster.
