Sari Test Micrographs in Bangladesh

NOTE: Dr. Colwells personal research material, if for other than her speeches...ASK PERMISSION.

Images: (1) new sari cloth micrograph (2) old sari cloth micrograph

Caption: The pictures show why old sari cloth, not new, is preferred because its holes are smaller (ca. 20 ) and better able to trap the plankton. Laboratory studies show that old sari cloth folded at least eight times filtered out more than 99% of the V. cholerae attached to plankton.
