Graduate Research Fellowships support graduate students conducting science, engineering, math, or interdisciplinary research.
We expect to award 1,000 fellowships this cycle.
Each fellowship provides $40,500 annually for 3 years.
Since 1952, NSF has awarded 40,000 GRFs.
More than 20 former graduate research fellows have gone on to win Nobel Prizes.
One of Google’s co-founders, Sergey Brin, received an NSF graduate research fellowship.
