N. Peter Whitehead is an AAAS S&T Policy Fellow in the Directorate of Engineering, Division of Electrical, Communications and Cyber Systems, Peter will be working in the Energy, Power and Adaptive Systems cluster, supporting NSF objectives domestically & internationally while studying a systems analysis approach to sustainability in energy and healthcare.  Peter has Masters degrees in Electrical and Systems Engineering and is ABD for his PhD in Systems Engineering at the University of Virginia, though he started life as a French major.  Peter’s hobbies include cycling, dissertation writing, whitewater rafting, training cats to use the toilet, and optimizing his commute to work.
