Discrimination Complaint Process:

Any employee or applicant for employment who believes he or she
has been discriminated against, in an employment action, practice
or decision, may file a complaint of discrimination on one or more
of the following bases:
- Race
- Color
- Religion
- National Origin
- Sex (including sexual harassment and pregnancy discrimination)
- Age (at least 40 years)
- Disability (physical or mental)
- Retaliation or reprisal (for
prior EEO activity or opposition to unlawful discrimination)
The aggrieved party must contact an OEOP Official within 45 calendar
days of the alleged discriminatory act. During the informal/pre-complaint
stage, the aggrieved person has the right to anonymity. The aggrieved person also has the right to representation throughout the complaint process including the counseling stage. The aggrieved
party may choose between the traditional counseling and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). NSF offers mediation as its method of ADR. Mediation is offered throughout the complaint process, informal and formal.

Early Intervention Program (EIP)
CLASS ACTION COMPLAINTS:

A class is defined as a group of employees, former employees, or applicants who alleged that they have been or are being adversely affected by an agency personnel policy or practice that discriminate against the group on the basis of their common race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or disability. The aggrieved person(s) come(s) to the EEO Counselor as a class agent representing the group. A class inquiry must be brought to the attention of an EEO counselor by a class agent within forty-five (45) days of the date when the specific policy or practice adversely affected the class agent or, if a personnel action, within 45 days of the effective date of that action.
