Jason Feser is a AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow in EHR in the Division of Undergraduate Education.  Prior to his placement at NSF, he completed his Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Colorado, Denver Anschutz Medical Campus in 2010 and his B.S in 2004 from North Dakota State University.  His graduate studies investigated how life span is affected by modifying chromatin structure in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.  He has worked in DUE to explore how the Vision and Change report has impacted the biology community and diffuses across the community.  He has helped to design and implement the new Widening the Implementation of Demonstration and Evidence-based Research program that aims to bolster the use of student-centered teaching practices nationally.  These projects both aim to improve instructional practices in undergraduate STEM education at the national level.
