Sandra Chapman will be working with the Evaluation and Assessment (E&A) program director, Alexandra Medina-Borja. In this capacity Sandra will be designing the concept and supervising the development of the right IT infrastructure for E&A. Sandra recently completed the first year of her AAAS Fellowship in the Office of Cancer Nanotechnology Research at the NIH. There she served as a project manager monitoring the progress of novel nanotechnology-based research projects and providing technical guidance to researchers throughout the program. Prior to the AAAS fellowship, she completed her graduate degree studying the life cycle of the human papillomavirus in its natural host, primary keratinocytes. Her work led to the discovery of a novel immortalization mechanism that has greatly expanded opportunities for research with primary cell cultures.
