Dr. Stacey Standridge

National Nanotechnology Coordination Office

Stacey is a renewing AAAS Fellow at the National Nanotechnology Coordination Office, an interagency office that coordinates 26 Federal agencies on all aspects of nanotechnology, including research; safety; and commercialization. Stacey will continue to focus on international collaborations and dialogues this year, but she will also lead the effort to produce the 2014 National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) Strategic Plan with representatives from the NNI agencies.? Stacey is passionate about renewable energy in general and solar cells in particular. As such, she studied the unique effects of silver nanoparticles in dye-sensitized solar cells for her doctoral research. Stacey earned her Ph.D. in chemistry from Northwestern University and her B.S. in chemistry from the University of Oregon. She grew up on a ranch near Chickasha, Oklahoma.
