| Figure 2. Substrate response of alkaline phosphatase (APase) activity at 5 meters in Lake Bonney (east lobe), with single data point from 5 meters in Lake Hoare for comparison. Incubations were carried out in the dark at a temperature near that in situ (4-5C). APase activity is estimated by the rate of hydrolysis of the MUP substrate analog. |
