Kenneth D. Chason

Counsel to the Inspector General

Mr. Chason, Counsel to the Inspector General, earned his J.D. from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law and B.A, with a major in History, from Valdosta State University. Mr. Chason comes to the National Science Foundation from his position as Senior Attorney with the United States Department of Justice, Office of Information and Privacy. Prior to that, Mr. Chason served as a Deputy Assistant General Counsel with the United States General Accountability Office, and also served on active duty in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG) for six years.
Mr. Chason has an extensive background in civil and administrative litigation and a wide range of knowledge in federal employment law. His work experience brings added expertise to the Office of Inspector General.
