Deborah H. Cureton

Associate Inspector General for Audit

Ms. Cureton currently serves as the Associate Inspector General for Audit at the National Science Foundation Office of Inspector General. In this capacity she is responsible for directing a program of financial and performance audits and evaluations of NSF's programs and activities.
She was previously employed by the General Services Administration for 15 years, serving in a number of audit positions, including Special Assistant to the Inspector General and more recently as the Regional Inspector General for Finance Audits in the Office of Inspector General. Prior to that, she performed audits at the Federal Home Loan Bank Board and the General Accounting Office.
Ms. Cureton received her Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Government Financial Manager. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Government Accountants.
