Peggy L. Fischer

Associate Inspector General for Investigations

Dr. Fischer is currently the Associate Inspector General for Investigations for the National Science Foundation and in that capacity she manages the integrity efforts for the Office of Inspector General.

She has been with the Foundation for 10 years, and before her current appointment, she was a Senior Scientist in the Office of Inspector General where she managed the research misconduct investigative case effort for the Office.

Her previous experience includes serving as a Senior Program Officer for the National Research Council's Board on Biology and as the Director of Research and Development for a biotechnology company. She held two postdoctoral positions after receiving her doctorate in cell biology.
