FY 2001

1. Competition for First 100 including creation of genomic museums.

FY 2002

1. Competition for informatics grants for major ToL phylogenetic initiative coupled with Evo-Devo collaboration.

2. Competition for sequencing of major developmental gene families in the First 100 organisms.

3. Individual investigator grants of sufficient size and duration to utilize and expand upon the new resources to address major Evo-Devo questions through the appropriate programs.

4. Functional analysis tool development grants funded through the appropriate programs.

FY 2003

1. Competition for informatics grants for major ToL phylogenetic initiative couple with Evo-Devo collaboration.

2. Individual investigator grants of sufficient size and duration to utilize and expand upon new resources to address major Evo-Devo questions through the appropriate programs. (Continuation of 3 from prior year)

3. Functional analysis tool development grants funded through the appropriate programs. (Continuation of 4 from prior year)

FY 2004

Individual investigator grants of sufficient size and duration to utilize and expand upon new resources to address major Evo-Devo questions through the appropriate programs. (Continuation of 2 from prior year)

Functional analysis tool development grants funded through the appropriate programs. As these tools are developed, these enabling grants will no longer be needed and tool development will be integrated into individual investigator grants. We would expect them to be replaced with sequencing-heavy grants but suggest that this be reevaluated in FY03
