Integrative Animal Biology

Focuses on the basic physiological mechanisms at the molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, and whole-animal levels. The program's encompassing theme is "the whole animal as an integrated system." It includes research on integrative aspects of comparative physiology, functional morphology, endocrinology, epithelial transport, and biomechanics. Note that studies focusing on the nervous system are supported by the Neuroscience cluster
