Caption: The Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center acquired a CRAY T3D in September 1993. The new massively parallel supercomputer is capable of creating highly complex computer models that simulate neuron activity in the brain. Biologists are using this information to increase our understanding of the cognitive processes involved in reading and learning.
