Postdocs at Federally Funded R&D Centers: Fall 2010
The data presented in this report were compiled from the National Science Foundation (NSF) Survey of Postdocs at Federally Funded Research and Development Centers, Fall 2010 (2010 FFRDC Postdoc Survey). RTI International currently conducts the survey under contract to NSF.
The reference date for this annual survey is 1 October. The survey collects aggregate counts of postdocs at each FFRDC according to their source of financial support, citizenship, sex, race and ethnicity, and field of research. The FFRDC Postdoc Survey began in 2005 and is administered in conjunction with the Survey on Graduate Students and Postdoctorates in Science and Engineering (GSS).
Data presented in the trend table were compiled from the most recently completed survey cycle.
This publication series includes current trends in the characteristics of postdoctorate researchers (postdocs) employed at federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs).
