NSF 2015 Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey Results

NSF 2015 Agency Management Report

NSF is pleased to present its results from the 2015 Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS). NSF's FEVS results indicate that the foundation has again made good progress in 2015 with continuing efforts to improve employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, workplace safety, and employee satisfaction. Highlights from NSF's 2015 FEVS results include:

  • For the third year in a row NSF has increased its response rate to the FEVS.his year NSF achieved a response rate of 78% (900/1,159) for permanent employees and 77% for non-permanent employees. This was the second highest response rate among all large/independent agencies in 2015. NSF's leadership appreciates NSF employee participation in the survey and will continue to use their feedback to drive meaningful change at the Foundation.
  • NSF's scores generally increased in comparison to 2014, but changes were small. Because these positive trends continue steady year-over-year increases in NSF FEVS scores we are encouraged that NSF is moving in the right direction. NSF employees continue to feel a strong connection to NSF's mission, and agree that the Foundation is successful in accomplishing its mission.

NSF will continue its ongoing efforts to provide employees with access to FEVS results, and will use these results along with other information to develop action plans at the foundation and directorate/office levels to influence meaningful change. A five-year trend report and an item-level report for NSF's 2015 results are provided through the two links on this page.
