Light-scattering tool peers into pancreas to find cancer

Light-based diagnostic technique

NSF-funded researchers have developed a technique that is based on the physical principles of light scattering to non-invasively determine the properties of subcellular structures (such as cell nuclei) in organs, providing physicians with more diagnostic information.
