DESCRIPTION:Office hours will be held 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. EDT every two w
 eeks from April 15 to Aug. 5. Register for office hours. The NSF EPSCoR 
 Research Incubators for STEM Excellence (NSF E-RISE) Research Infrastructu
 re Improvement (RII) program supports the development of research teams an
 d products in a scientific topical area that links to research priorities 
 identified in the submitting jurisdiction's approved science and technolog
 y plan. NSF E-RISE RII invites innovative proposals that will lead to the 
 development and implementation of sustainable, broad networks of individua
 ls, institutions and organizations that will transform the science, techno
 logy, engineering and mathematics research capacity and competitiveness in
  a jurisdiction within the chosen field of research.E-RISE RII projects mu
 st be designed to develop (i) areas of research capacity building within a
  chosen research topic; (ii) development of a skilled workforce that is re
 levant to the project and its outcomes; (iii) promotion of a different typ
 es of academic institutions and non-academic sectors (e.g., industry and g
 overnment); (iv) integration of the research with societal impacts; and (v
 ) sustainability of a clear pathway towards preserving the resulting resea
 rch incubator's team and products beyond E-RISE RII funding.
