AIM CDI Workshop: Cyber-enabled Discovery and Innovation

December 17, 2007 8:30 AM  to
December 19, 2007 5:00 PM
American Institute of Mathematics, Palo Alto, CA

On December 17-19, 2007, AIM will host a workshop for teams preparing a submission to the Cyber-enabled Discovery and Innovation (CDI) program.

AIM has substantial experience a fostering collaborative research in mathematics, and this workshop will be of significant help to teams preparing mathematics proposals which will be competitive in the NSF-wide CDI initiative. Participants will begin work prior to the workshop, and a substantial portion of the workshop will be spent on proposal preparation.

Proposals for the CDI program require a letter of intent by November 30, followed by a pre-proposal due on January 8. To apply for the AIM workshop, just send your letter of intent to and indicate which members of your team are available to participate in the AIM workshop. The AIM staff is also available prior to submission of the letter of intent; please contact us if you would like more information.

This is part of a coordinated effort of the NSF Mathematical Sciences Institutes to inform the mathematical and statistical communities about this initiative and to facilitate the development of research proposals; see the website for activities at the various institutes. The Division of Mathematical Sciences at the National Science Foundation is strongly supportive of the involvement of mathematical and cross-disciplinary groups in research projects connected with CDI.
