DESCRIPTION:Representatives from the U.S. National Science Foundation Chemi
 cal, Bioengineering, Environmental, and Transport Systems (NSF CBET) Secti
 on of the NSF Directorate for Engineering will host an online outreach and
  networking workshop focused on proposal development for the NSF Faculty E
 arly Career Development (NSF CAREER) program.The agencywide NSF CAREER pro
 gram supports early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as ac
 ademic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the m
 ission of their department or organization. Activities pursued by early-ca
 reer faculty should build a firm foundation for a lifetime of leadership i
 n integrating education and research. The NSF CBET CAREER workshop will 
 include:Guidance on CAREER proposal development.Overview of the NSF merit 
 review process.Breakout sessions with CBET program directors.Opportunities
  to network with NSF staff and peers.This virtual workshop will be held on
  Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.R

 e a confirmation email with details to join the workshop via Zoom.Please r
 eview the CAREER program solicitation and FAQs prior to the workshop. CARE
 ER proposals are due July 22, 2026.For additional assistance with accessib

 our meeting or event date for sessions lasting one day or less and 30 days
