DESCRIPTION:The U.S. National Science Foundation Directorate for Mathematic
 al and Physical Sciences (NSF MPS) supports multiple research programs at 
 the frontiers of discovery in theoretical and applied mathematical science
 s.NSF MPS will host an informational webinar for the U.S. mathematical sci
 ences research community. All members of the mathematics research communit
 y are encouraged to attend.MPS leaders and staff will discuss NSF funding 
 opportunities supporting the mathematical sciences.The event will focus on
  the MPS Mathematical Sciences Research Programs (NSF 26-520) funding oppo
 rtunity, which covers more than a dozen programs, including the core disci
 plinary research programs in the mathematical sciences.The event will incl
 ude a Q&A session with MPS staff.The event will also cover the following t
 opics:Ongoing funding opportunities in the mathematical sciences, new init
 iatives, and Dear Colleague Letters.NSF's frontier initiatives announced S
 ept. 10.Use of artificial intelligence tools for research and proposal pre
 paration.Proposal submission guidelines and guidance on using research.gov
