DESCRIPTION:During the Introduction to NSF PESOSE program webinar, an NSF o
 fficer will provide an overview of the program, eligibility requirements a
 nd application process. The session will include a formal presentation fol
 lowed by a moderated Q&A.\n\nAbout the series\n\nThe NSF PESOSE program is
  a new funding opportunity from the NSF Directorate for Technology, Innova
 tion and Partnerships that combines the former Pathways to Enable Open-Sou
 rce Ecosystems and Safety, Security, and Privacy of Open-Source Ecosystems
  programs.The PESOSE program helps translate open-source research products
 , including software, hardware, machine learning models, languages and dat
 a platforms, into safe and sustainable ecosystems that address national an
 d societal challenges. The program also promotes strong governance, collab
 orative development and broad engagement across academia, industry and gov
 ernment. Additionally, the program aims to enhance the safety, security, a
 nd privacy of open-source ecosystems by addressing key vulnerabilities and
  improving resilience against threats.Over the course of three webinars, a
 n NSF program director will introduce the program, explain its goals and e
 ligibility requirements, answer questions, and outline the application pro
 cess. The first webinar session will include a formal presentation followe
 d by a moderated Q&A. A second session will be devoted primarily to open Q
 &A, giving participants plenty of time to ask their specific concerns. The
  final session will focus on the application process itself and walk atten
 dees through what to expect. For additional assistance with accessibility
