This REU site aims to train undergraduate students in AI-driven geodesign and mixed-method research to address complex urban sustainability issues, equipping them with skills in GIS, spatial analysis, geospatial machine learning, and community engagement. Through collaborative efforts between multiple departments and partnerships with local organizations, students will engage in a 10-week summer research experience to work on modeling and implementing solutions to local sustainability and climate resilience problems.
Natural History Research Experiences (NHRE) is a 10-week summer internship program hosted at the National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C. NHRE interns work closely with scientific mentors to complete independent research projects in Earth Science, Biology, and Anthropology.
The mission of NHRE is to train the next generation of natural history leaders and offer promising undergraduates with few research opportunities the chance to fulfill their potential.
