Spray-on Solar Panels

Chemical engineers at the University of Texas-Austin may be getting closer to much more efficient solar panels, using "spray-on" photovoltaic panels, With support from NSF, Brian Korgel and his team are testing nanoparticle "inks" that are designed to be painted on rooftops or the sides of buildings. And, because the new cells are semi-transparent, they could allow windows to double as solar collection cells.
