Expanding Participation of Underrepresented Groups in Mathematics and Statistics

Dr. Freeman A. Hrabowski, III, president of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, discusses his work on the National Academies' report, "Expanding Underrepresented Minority Participation: America's Science and Technology Talent at the Crossroads." This lecture is part of a series of lectures by distinguished statisticians, hosted by the NSF's Division of Mathematical Sciences, to mark 2013, the International Year of Statistics.
